Transferring a domain to JachOOs® is a very easy process, but, if you need any help or get stuck at any point please remember we are here to help - just get in touch and we can assist at any point in the process. The domain transfer process is slightly different depending on the domain extension (e.g. .com, .co.in, .co.uk, .eu, .in, .me.uk, .net, .net.in, .nl, .org, .uk, .us) because they are handled by different registry organisations. In the main, there are two main processes:-
We will assist you if you need support while you transfer a domain to us. The transfer process for domains relies on an authorization code or EPP key. When you order a GTLD transfer, you pay the same as a 1 year registration or renewal because as part of the transfer process, an additional year is added on to the domain expiration date.
The steps to transfer a GTLD domain are:-
- Step 1 - Unlock the domain with your current provider
- Step 2 - Obtain the EPP key (sometimes called an authorization code) from your current provider
- Step 3 - Order the domain transfer from JachOOs® https://jachoos.net/client/cart.php?a=add&domain=transfer
- Step 4 - Once the order is paid for, you'll receive an email to the admin contact on the domain you're transferring. There'll be a link to click and this is where you need to approve the domain transfer to JachOOs®
- Step 5 - Once you've approved the transfer, it can take several days for the transfer to go through (depending on the registry it's coming from), but you'll receive an email from JachOOs® once the transfer is completed.
Once the transfer is completed, you can then manage the domain from client.jachoos.net under 'Domains'.
Transferring Your Domain To JachOOs®
After the completion of domain transfer, the domain will show as 'active' in your client area (https://jachoos.net/client/) under 'Domains'. From here you can then set the nameservers to point to JachOOs®. Our nameservers are:-
ns1.jachoos.co.uk.
ns2.jachoos.co.uk.
ns3.jachoos.co.uk.
ns4.jachoos.co.uk.
For cloud hosting services, the name servers are listed under name server list, You need to update your domain with location wise nameservers. It will be received on your end with an email when you register for a cloud hosting from JachOOs® .
